rveiHow Amanda Litman Is Recruiting The Next Generation to Run For Something | FULL Interview
Jill Wine-Banks and Victor Shi are joined by Amanda Litman, Run For Something co-founder and Hillary Clinton’s former Email Director, to look at the importance of running for office, what it takes to launch a campaign, and how to win — no matter what office you seek. It’s the key to protecting democracy, but are the next generation of leaders up to the challenge? Are you?
Amanda Litman is the co-founder and co-executive director of Run For Something, an organization dedicated to recruiting and supporting young candidates running for down-ballot offices. Its mission is to get candidates from non-traditional backgrounds to run and win state and local offices, and create a next-generation slate of political candidates that will seek higher office in the future. Before her time at Run for Something, Amanda was Hillary Clinton’s email director (the other emails), Charlie Crist’s digital director when he ran for governor in 2014, and an email writer for Barack Obama’s re-election. She is also the co-host of two podcasts, “Run for Something” and “Battleground.” Amanda is also a graduate of Northwestern University.
