My Top 3 for POTUS 2020

I am a political enthusiast, junkie—really any title that has to do with politics, I am all in! After a devastating loss in 2016, Democrats throughout the country — including me — were trying to figure out what exactly went wrong. We believed that we worked tirelessly, whether it was through rallies or knocking on doors—and we believed that a woman could find herself in the Oval Office. But, we were mistaken, and after four years of defeat, with a President in the White House who has no respect for the office in which serves under, Democrats must find the candidate to win in 2020. Democrats must find someone who will defend the status quo, be assertive and tough when needed, and most importantly, be authentic.

Here are my top three candidates for 2020:

United States Senator Kamala Harris

Kamala Harris is literally the definition of diversity being an African American, Indian, and Jamaican. Harris was the first African American Attorney General of California from 2011 until 2017. During her time as Attorney General of California, she was outspoken on the need for innovation in public safety, particularly with respect to reducing the recidivism rate in San Francisco.
