iGen Politics team Jill Wine-Banks and Victor Shi are joined by Congressman Adam Schiff to talk about how we can defend and strengthen our democratic norms after the events of January 6th, solve the problems left behind by the Trump administration, and get our country moving forward again. His Protecting Our Democracy Act is a great start — what else needs to be done? We explore that in today’s episode of iGen Politics while also talking about Victor’s first week at UCLA.

Congressman Adam Schiff represents California’s 28th Congressional District. In his 11th term in the House of Representatives, Schiff currently serves as the Chair of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, which oversees the nation’s intelligence agencies and was a leader of the first impeachment of Donald Trump. Schiff is on a leave of absence from the House Appropriations Committee, where he remains an ex officio member.
